Rabbit Sales Agreement
Please read our sales agreement before inquiring about a rabbit. If a rabbit is reserved/purchased it will be assumed that you have read and agree to the terms and conditions of this agreement. This applies to anyone who purchases a rabbit weather they choose to read the agreement or not.
Waiting list/reserving
We currently work on a waiting list system, we do not breed to order and therefore cannot guarantee we will have babies available.
Each individual on our waiting list will be contacted in order of initial contact with us.
Pictures of available babies will be sent to prospective purchasers along with price and estimated time of weaning. As of past experiences we have unfortunately had to make some changes to our reserving process, this is only our small hobby and we are wasting so much time trying to chase individuals for replies to our messages.
We now only leave a small window of 4 hours from time of us sending you a message to receive your reply, if it hasn’t been received in that time we unfortunately have to move on.
We hope you understand our process, we haven’t come to the decision lightly. This is only our hobby, we do have other commitments such as family and work, so we just haven’t the time to be chasing individuals for answers.
Once a rabbit is reserved we take weekly photos that will be posted on our page/sent to owners direct.
For a couple years now we have been a closed stud, this is due to the spread of RVHD disease and the vulnerability of baby rabbits to the disease, all our adult rabbits are fully vaccinated but babies aren't vaccinated until 10 weeks old.
Due to this, reservations are to take place by pictures and non-refundable deposit of £30 for each rabbit, paid via PayPal through Friends and family or bank transfer. We will only refund deposit if there is an issue on our side.
We do not offer discounts for multiple rabbits.
Remaining balance will be paid via same method as deposit prior to collection or in cash at time of collection.
Rabbits will be sold to over 18s only, if under 18 they would need to be accompanied by an adult.
If you are on our waiting list and have found your new family member, please contact us to be taken off our list.
Collection
When collecting your new rabbits, we will have strict social distancing measures in place, this will be discussed with individuals prior to collection.
Each rabbit will be checked by ourselves to the best of our knowledge before leaving. Rabbits aren't vet checked.
New owners must check the rabbits thoroughly prior to leaving our property.
Once a rabbit leaves our premises they will be their new owners responsibility, we will NOT take any responsibility for any issues that arise there after.
All our Stud are fully vaccinated against both VHD 1&2, we strongly advise new owners to vaccinate at the first instance.
Please also note due recent events:-
If a buyer is unable to able to pick up their rabbit/s we can accommodate them for a further week, if still unable to collect we can hold a bunny for a daily fee of £2 to cover food and care costs as long as it is previously planned with ourselves for a further week.
If then they are unable to collect after these two weeks, rabbits will be re-advertised and you will lose your deposit.
We offer lifetime advice for your rabbit, but please be advised we are not vets, and any health concerns should be addressed with through your chosen Vet. We recommend booking an appointment with your chosen vet within the first few weeks of having your new rabbit as they will be able to advise on neutering and vaccinations.
If a rabbit you have reserved becomes ill, injured or dies before they leave our property, then we will keep hold of them until they are better, prospective owners will be notified of this at first instance, if they don’t get better then you may choose another available rabbit of the same price, wait for a future litter or we will refund the deposit given. If you decide to take them then that is your responsibility and you will be accountable for any vet fees ect if needed.
Additional information
Please ensure you can commit to your rabbits needs, and if you are a first time owner, please thoroughly research into what being a rabbit owner involves.
Please remember that rabbits require company and do prefer to live in pairs.
Every effort are made made to sex our rabbits, but we cannot 100% guaranteed, it is advised to neuter/castrate rabbits when living together and not intended for breeding.
Suitable housing of a decent and humane size should be provided for your new pet with a recommended minimum of 6ft sized hutch with additional run.
Our rabbits are all kept in large wooden hutches and have a bedding of shavings and hay, if individuals require a house bunny then these rabbits may seem scared and nervous at first this is quite understandable as they are in a totally new environment with all new sounds and smells.
Each rabbit will be sold with a weeks worth of change over food, birth certificate and care sheet.
New owners need to bring a suitable pet carrier to transport rabbit home, if one isn't brought then the rabbit will not be allowed to leave.
All sales are final. WE WILL NOT refund the cost of a rabbit if a buyer later decided a rabbit isn’t a good fit for their family or they are no longer able to care for it.
We always endeavour to assist with re-homing any rabbits from us here at Begorra Stud if the owners can no longer look after them. We will not take any rabbits back due to the possibilities of disease being carried to our rabbits, but can assist with enquiries for potential new homes ect.
All advertised rabbits for reserving/sale or that are sent to prospective new owners or are shown on our website/socials
are the property of Begorra Stud and are not to be forwarded or used unless permission has been granted by ourselves.
